mysterious phenomen vista 32 bit
Hello Guys,
i have an old game called RUNAWAY 1 and like to get it run. It's still working with a little fix, but it gave problems with the sub sequences. The actor starts changing from one room to another at outside of the building over a ledge. This works automatically by watching a sub video. Using Haali's or LAV's Splitter the actor goes out of the window in a millisecond, stops and sounds some words, than black screen with sound, but the game runs not forward. Using Gabest's Splitter the video runs well, he goes outside the building, he stops a moment, but no sound at this time. Then he reaches the room and this sub video goes in a loop. Same happens in the Intro at starting the game. After actors talking, a sub video are shown with sound. After completion of this videos the game get here in a loop, too - showing same video, but without sound now. who is able to help me with the codecs !? BlackWood |

RE: mysterious phenomen vista 32 bit
Can you please give us your PC specs?
OS version? Newest video drivers installed for your graphic card? Maybe you could check the install folder and check what kind of video it played (e.g. bink?). Did you try to reset the settings? Newest Vista codec package installed? Windows 8 x64 / i5 750 / AMD HD 5850 / Benq XL 2410T / MPC-BE / Win7codecs |

RE: mysterious phenomen vista 32 bit
Everything seems to be in order, it is probably a compatibility problem.
Did you try running the game in Compatibility mode (right-click on program - properties - Compatibility - run in Win XP compatibility mode)? Have you tried uninstalling the codec packege, does it work then? If nothing helps, I would suggest check the game´s forum for more suggestions. I played it through and after, i installed the package new and same problems occuring. After new uninstallation the game works again. During uninstallation, i attached a JPG, the template shows crazy symbols - should be fixed. New questions now after uninstallalation! 1. I would like to use the icaros thumbnail feature only is that possible ? 2. Now i cannot play FLV videos with the Windows Media Player. After opening came a template with note > device or path can not be found FYI: I play carom3d online. I had the effect by using back spin that the ball runs often not in wanted order back. After removal of the codec package all works fine. (The Carom Software is based on IE Explorer) Would be glad the receive some solutions, BlackWood |

RE: mysterious phenomen vista 32 bit
To solve your issue, go to the Misc TAB and disable the Haali splitter
test If there is a problem. press [Reset All] and then disable the LAV splitter |

In point of icaros: I downloaded a stand alone package but it is not very useful. The icaros feature in your package helps really. But how can i use this without issues to my game ? hope you can help BlackWood |
