just today I was testing Nvidia hardware and had problems with the 285.62 drivers.
The version I suggested to you gave me the best results.
The newer BETA's had thier own problems but the version I suggested seems to give the best results.

after installing the new drivers, reboot your computer and also use [Reset All]
begin testing with default settings

yes.
for me, almost all files play on default settings except for VC1 encodes and M2TS files.
these 2 formats are handled by use of the SUGGESTED settinngs checkbox

MPEG works fine, 3gp no audio. disable LAV audio again?

yes, it worked before for your 3gp files and shouldnt break mpeg playback.

MPEG fine, no audio still 3gp.

found misc., DO Not use LAV splitter still checked (did not reset when reset all pressed)
3gp has audio, MPEG broken. Same, first frame. mediafire.com does not show browse box.

Is UAC disabled? I read back and you state you keep it on default.
Reset All should have reset that splitter too... very odd

Is there a way to set UAC back to original installation settings? I did a fresh Windows 7 install 1/11/2012. I had Vista but the installation DVD only offered a fresh install. I saved my old user files. Of course all my old user files had Administrator as Owner. Resetting all those files was a learning experience to say the least.

Also run as Administrator is chosen each time.
