no sound when play mov with wmp11

i installed 5.4.8 vista codec pack but am unable to get sound when playing .mov clips, i have wmp 11, any help will be appreciated

On the MISC TAB is a tool to Analyze a file...
use it on a mov file that fails and copy/paste the results from the tool here.

thanks for the quick response, i forgot to mention that i am a newbie to codec or anything technical really as far as software is concerned, so with that said, where would i find that tab? also i do have vista, but i suppose you figured that out

This time, rightclick the shortcut for the settings application and select from the menu: Run as administrator

Go to the MOV~OGG TAB, choose 'Set MOV for camera Vids'

test your files.

alright sound is good but no video, had video before that change

Set that setting on the MOV~OGG TAB back to Gabests splitter (Run as administrator is required again)

Download and install QT Lite

try your file again

with QT lite installed and that setting back to Gabests splitter
, wmp fails to open files at all, error code is C00D11B1
