RE: playing pvr files on pc from set top pvr
On my tools page is a software called MetaFox. Download and install it.
It places a shortcut on your Desktop. Drag n drop the file to the desktop icon. The software will extract the audio/video stream(s) from the file and place them, untouched, into an MKV written to the originating directory. try playing that mkv. |

Installed Metafox and video now appears to be at the correct speed however there is now no or chirping audio depending on your vista codec settings. The set top box is an HD digital free to air tv reciever and when recording to hard drive produces a PVR folder, inside this folder are the TV program folders and in these are the .TSV files which are the ones i am trying to play. If i use Metafox on the PVR folder or the program folders it produces an empty folder. Metafox however does produce a file for the TSV files. I have tried the settings within Metafox and your codec pack but must admit i an not an expert in these matters. Thank you. |

Hi, i have found a solution for playing these files, the Splash lite player which plays them without a problem. I tried a lot of players without success the best effort was vlc which was very jerky but did have audio. Hope this helps someone in the future and thank you for your help and time. |
