question about rmvb audio

am sorry but how to adjust sound for rmvb files for media player classic and wmp?

Do you have a current release of my codecs installed?

check your Windows folder for these files, if they exist, move them to some other folder for safe keeping.

yes i have the latest release v3.4.4
but i didnt find these files on the computer
btw the sound in rmvb files was working with wmp in the previous release of the codecs but it wasnt working properly in wmp calssic

You should use MPC-Homecinema from my tools page. It is preconfigured to use the installed codecs.

now it works perfectly with both after checking rm in the lav splitter and using the MPC-Homecinema from the tools

The next release will use LAV by default.

The default setting works well for simple straight play back.

For my video watching, I use random access (e.g. Jump 5 seconds Foward/backward) a lot. But the LAV splitter just works not well to handle it, so I still have to disable rm from LAV splitter. I can see it get better in newer version(In Win7codecsv340 and before , it even cannot update a correct I‑frame), it still is not smooth enough for me use.

LAV is greatly improved for rmvb in version 347

Also in 347, if required, you can switch the realmedia splitter to gabests on the AVI~RM TAB
