settings to view flv in WMP

I removed the codec package to check something.
I reinstalled the codecs, now I lost the settings.
I can click on a mp4 file and it plays in windows media player.
When I click on flv file I only hear audio, doesnt show video?

have you tried Shark´s suggested settings in the application?

If it does not help, please analyze the file from the application: Misc Tab -> Analyze a media file. Then copy-paste the info here.

This time checking the box off worked.
And keeping my fingers crossed, think it fixed my original problem of digital breakup, freezing up, watching & recording TV in WMC.

I too have problem playing flv files.
I have a completly new installed windows7 64bit system (UAC default) with w7cp and x64p(v.3.7.6) running in shark's suggested settings. Only modification is mpg running on haali's.
Works all fine in WMP apart from .flv not being played in any way.

I found two samples to recreate the problem.

since I have no issue to playback either sample,
something on your system is causing your problem.
On the 32bit Misc TAB, use the button to [Save codec list to Desktop].
Post (attach) that information in your next post.

Done. I did reset the Codec settings and the list is the same without the Terratec entries now. But sadly doesnt solve the problem.
