unable to play Mp4 1080p with DD AC3 in 7mc x64

I got "amost" everything working the way I like, DTS, DD MKV works all seems ok but then I tried to play an mp4 1080p movie with DD AC3 and I get an error saying that it can't play the file. So I went through the whole reset process and tested again, this time i gave the error and then movie played but no sound so I stopped the movie and tried again and got the same error as the first time.

On the SWAP TAB, a few things to try
1, disable the Microsoft Audio decoder
2, disable Media Foundation

A better solution...
Get Metafox from my tools page and use it to turn it into an mkv.
It is extremely easy to use and uses the untouched contents from the mp4 to create the mkv.

First step didn't work. Metafox works but i wouldn't call it a solution, more of a resolution.

Sounds like a known issue?

yes. The Windows players expect AAC inside of MP4.
So.. to get ac3 within mp4 to work, Microsoft needs to be removed from the decoding picture.
Try disabling the Microsoft Video decoder too.

Disabling MS Video Decoder works.

BTW: I've been changing settings on both x86 and x64. Do I need to do that or just the x64 side?

the 64bit app affects playback in Media Center.
the 32bit app affects most other players.

With that said, if all I care for is 7MC then just change the setting in the x64 app setting? Even better since I use MPC for random stuff so that would work. thanks a bunch.
