I watch 1080p movies from my computer via HDMI on 4K TV. I use hardware acceleration with GTX 770 (CUVID). I can set the resolution (and frequency) of the source and set the resolution (and frequency) in the media center (WMC). Some combinations give a stunningly bright picture, and some give a gray one. I can not catch which is better to install.
For example, 1080/24 from the source and 4K (or 1080 29Hz) on the monitor find a better picture than 1080/60 and more. Can you explain it to me?
