RE: About Icaros - lena_yx - 05-17-2012 09:50 PM Hi, icaros thumbnailing is really helpful and i like it a lot, thank you for your work but there's something wrong with the aspect ratio for .ts files I tried to delete the ".ts" from the registered list and then fixed the .reg but it didn't work, the ts files don't have thumbnails. I think it's because i checked the "Disable Microsoft's Video Decoder" but if I don't choose it, there would be something wrong with the audio playback of some ts files Is there any way to solve the problem? P.S.. sorry for my poor English RE: About Icaros - shark07Martin - 05-17-2012 11:44 PM First, thank you so much for this tool, is very usefull. I have a problem with v2.0 of this tool. With this version a don't have mkv files thumbnails. I had installed lav codecs 0.46 + icaros 1.3.1 in Windows 7 64 Bits and all runs well. I updated lav codecs to 0.50.5, and with icaros 1.3.1 all runs ewll too. I updated icaros to v2.0 and then thumbnails of mkv file didn't create. I downgraded icaros to version 1.3.1 again and all runs again. I have a clean windows install, I don't have another filters, or codecs packs installed. Even, a have a portable version of Media Player Classic Home Cinema por playing videos. I have installed .net 4.0 and c++. (The icaros installer tells me that's ok) ¿What I can do? Thanks RE: About Icaros - Xanashi - 05-18-2012 03:55 AM Hi all, I'm back from a small hiatus. I haven't been all idle in the past couple of weeks though. I will try to get a beta out of 2.1 soon. It will contain a lot of great new features, and fulfill some of the user requests, like; Flac support, possibility of using embedded cover art in MKV, and thumbnailing of shortcuts. Anyway you will find out more about it soon. @Rosie The portable version of 2.0 can be found in this post. I will remove the old links to avoid confusion. @Snaggletoof I never noticed shortcuts didn't work until you asked about it, but it will be possible in 2.1. ;-) @Lenmaer Did you ever get it to work? Icaros doesn't touch any of the explorer settings, although it does "refresh" the icons and thumbnails right after activation. @lena_yx If you could provide me with a sample of the file with the wrong AR, then there is a good chance, I can fix it. You can use the sample creation tool on the Misc tab of the Setting App., then upload it to mediafire or another filehost and post the URL in this thread or PM me. @shark07Martin That is odd. Stupid question: did you remember to Activate Icaros after the installation of 2.0? Did you do an upgrade install? @All Thanks to all of you for your support. It's always good to hear Icaros is being appreciated. Certainly makes development more enjoyable ^_^ RE: About Icaros - Lenmaer - 05-18-2012 04:15 AM (05-18-2012 03:55 AM)Xanashi Wrote: @Lenmaer Hello. No but I found what's causing it. I use an x64 win7, and sometimes when I use a 32bit application like BD Stream Extractor, with this software I've to chose (no drag & drop) an input file, by doing so it opens some kind of 32bit explorer to browse through the folders, and sometimes (it's random) when a file doesn't have a thumbnail yet, I get that com surrogate error message. I also confirm the aspect ratio error on some m2ts files, but I believe that's because BDs unlike DVDs have black borders encoded in a 4:3 video, and explorer when thumbnailing hides black borders when it can and so deforms the result. All times i actived icaros in the control panel of the application and the mkv checkbox was checked too. Perhaps this will fix the COM Surrogate errors. I don't think I have any m2ts samples with AR issues, but samples are always welcome. ;-) @shark07Martin Hmm, what about other filetypes? Does the problem only pertain to mkv files? Do you have any optional filetypes registered in IcarosConfig? @lena_yx Glad to hear your problem were resolved ^_^ RE: About Icaros - shark07Martin - 05-21-2012 10:59 AM (05-20-2012 12:52 PM)Xanashi Wrote: @Lenmaer Humm, I tested icaros in a clean Windows 7 x64 installation (Vmware virtual machine) and works !! Now i need investigate why doesn't run in my system. An old registry key of icaros 1.3.1? An Old config file in my user profile? Tomorrow I'll do more tests |
