RE: About Icaros - Xanashi - 09-05-2012

xankazo,
Glad it worked out ^_^
A lot of software will have to re-adjust now, since the 'Make [this app] your default app' options will no longer be valid in Windows 8.

Btw, I believe you asked for .APE (Monkey's Audio) support, at some point back in time?
How do you like the current implementation so far, in 2.1.1?

FlyingHorse,
Your kind offer is duly noted :-)
I will get back to you as soon as I start bug-hunting.

Lenmaer,
Well done finding this so soon.
Would it be possible for you to create a sample for faster troubleshooting? ;-)

RE: About Icaros - xankazo - 09-05-2012

Yes, I had forgotten about it. However, .APE is not showing properties. It's just blank:

But, I can't help but notice that .APE isn't in the "Property Filetypes Registered" section in Icaros config. Should it be there to work?

RE: About Icaros - Xanashi - 09-05-2012

Yeah, the interface doesn't currently reflect all the new changes.
It will be fixed eventually, but it isn't a bug as such.

.ape works fine here, though. Shows both props and thumbnails for all my samples.
Are you sure those files contains tags? Do you have a sample I could look at? :-)

Oooooopsss!!!
It turned out to be foobar2000 doing the MPC-HC thing. I did the same trick you suggested for MPC-HC and now it's showing beautifully fine. This time I beat laziness. :p

Great! ^_^
At least this wont be a problem any longer after the next update.

Nice, that was fast. ^^

RE: About Icaros - jiguro - 09-09-2012

Hey Xanashi, great to see that you included the mkv properties in this release! Smile
At first I thought you skipped it, cause my bottom bar in windows explorer was normal-sized and no extra mkv information was shown. Thankfully, Lenmaer posted a screenshot and I saw how it gets displayed.
Could I be a pain in the ass and ask for at least some of that info to be displayed in the tooltip when you hover over an mkv file as well? I know it's quite a lot to fit in there, so a short version could suffice.
It's just that in order to make space for all this info, the bottom bar has to grow quite a bit...

Please consider this and thank you very much for implementing my suggestion!

Kinda quiet around here... aren't we?
