Cant get stutter to go away in HD (mkv) movies - skullkrack - 02-22-2012 07:58 PM I've been trying for days now to get this stutter to go away. The only thing that has come close is to use these codecs and WMP. My system specs are: EVGA Z68 FTW mb, i7 2600k, 16 gb corsair vengeance, EVGA GTX 570, and 1100w tagan psu. Now I dont think the problem is my hardware because i have tested it gaming and other stress tests and all seems to be well. Its just my video in vlc player sucked and its still a little shaky. I'm getting some stuttering throughout the entire movie. Especially during scenes with a lot of straight lines. Currently my Nvidia control panel is set to "let the application decide" for video settings but there are some gains and losses when I choose to do my own. It seems to me that the more I mess with the codec settings the better it gets so thats why I am here, and hope this is posted in the right place. Thanks to all for future help

Cant get stutter to go away in HD (mkv) movies - Shark007 - 02-22-2012 08:05 PM try updating your graphics drivers by selecting the correct driver HERE afterwards, press [Reset All] - test again RE: Need help please. Cant get stutter to go away in HD (mkv) movies - skullkrack - 02-23-2012 06:37 PM lover your codecs, thanks for your very rapid response! so i found out what it was..... so stupid really.... wasnt the players or codecs or anything. My tv is a newer generation samsung, about 2 years old, and it has that 240mhz refresh. well it was set on smooth and clear, I never checked just standard setting. works so beautifully now. sorry for your stuttering in vlc, but i dont think its worth it compared to wmp. its just so easy and i dont use any of the complicated settings in it. good luck to those in need. |
