Problem with flv - variedad - 03-01-2012 08:14 AM
Hello! i had install windows 7 codec and 64 codec in windows 8, after when i know about windows 8 codec, i unistall 64 codec and after windows 7 codec and after install windows 8 codec
but it don't run flv videos, after when i had windows 7 codec yes run flv codec
sorry for my english , my from is uruguay

on the Help TAB, use the button, [Windows Filetype Associations]

yes i used it, i try run flv with windows media player but it say : "Windows media player encountered a problem while playing the file"

all of my FLV samples play OK.
What codecs did you install previously?
What codecs do you have installed besides the Win8codecs?

previously only win 7 codec with 64bit components

most likely cause is that your FLV is not really an FLV file but something else.
I would guess, its really an MP4
On the Misc TAB, use the tool to [Analyze a media file]
post that information here.

i run setting shark in administrador mode and it reset aplication
and problem solved

yep - that would also be a reason for it not to work properly.
That is a 1st step after installation, Run the app as an Administrator.
