ffdshow/LAV for .mkv - pietro99 - 03-01-2012 09:59 PM

Can I use ffdshow for video and LAV for audio in .mkv playback?

Maybe it's my imagination but ffdshow picture quality seems better but I like the LAV audio.

If so, how do I achieve this please, and is it likely to cause audio sync problems?

Thanks

Press [Reset All]
On the H264 TAB, select to 'Use FFDshow's codec'

Thanks.

One other query. I normally use the "sharpen complex2" shader, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect in my updated MPC-HC. I am using EVR custom output. Is that correct?

And should I be ticking any of the pre-size pixel shaders?

I make no changes what-so-ever to the MPC-HC versions I release on my Tools page. They just work.

The settings you suggest, are your idea's not mine.
I have no clue what effect they have, and am not interested in knowing.
