Audio/Video Synce Issues - Ruttagger - 03-29-2012 04:06 PM Im not a rookie with my Shark Codec setup and I have been doing audio video hookups for a long time. But I have a new issue that is stumping me. Everything worked fine until I bought a new TV. I had a SHARP Aquos 52" as my display. I run my PC video out my video card into my Harmon Kardon reveiver and from there video out to my TV via hdmi and then my receiver outputs to my speakers. I just replaced my TV with a new Sharp Aquos 70'' 632E and the video is now a tad laggy. I first noticed it with my mouse feeling sluggish and even as I type this the letters seem to be behind by just a slight millisecond. When I watch my MKV movies i can tell that the video is just ever so slightly behind the audio and I have a feeling these are all linked together. I thought I would check here before I call Sharp or even take my TV back. I have fiddled with my nvidea settings and the shark codec settings and even my tv menu settings but I have had no luck. Please someone help me, I love this Giant TV and dont want to give it up. Even a Bluray disc on my PS3 is off the same way so it has to be a TV setting im thinking. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks RE: Audio/Video Synce Issues - Shark007 - 03-29-2012 04:09 PM try updating the Nvidia Drivers. current drivers are... Version 296.10 - WHQL Release Date Tue Mar 13, 2012 RE: Audio/Video Synce Issues - Ruttagger - 03-29-2012 05:50 PM All my drivers and Shark codecs are up to date. I found somewhere online where some guy was saying new Sharp panels have a video processing delay of 200 ms so you have to go into your Receiver and set the audio sync delay to 200 ms to match that. I went into my Harmon Kardon and it only allows you to set it to a max of 180 ms. I does look a lot better and is barely noticeable to non noticeable. I know its still 20 ms off so my brain is telling me that it doesnt look right. Does anyone know if theres an setting in Shark codecs or a third party software for my sound card to delay it a further 20 ms? I'm assuming new receivers must do audio sync delays of greater than 180 ms else no one with these tvs running audio through a reveiver would be able to sync their audio and video. Sharp emailed me back telling me that all 70" and 80" panels have a 200ms video processing delay, but they dont tell you in the product specification. Im gonna hook my new receiver up tonight and set the delay to 200ms and see if it helps. It also has HDMI audio passthrough so no more optical audio cables for me, maybe this will help as well. Thanks guys. Kenny |
