Suddenly started noticing mp4 thumbnails show up as "white pieces of paper"
In details view in explorer where there should be a vlc icon, it's the plain white icon. If I change the view to thumbnails it's the same but bigger, it then changes to the proper thumbnail but going back to details brings back the white icon.
I've updated to the latest version and left the default settings. Still the same

try setting WMP as the player for MP4 files.

Done that and the icon works for all sizes of thumbnail. Just VLC where it shows that none icon

VLC does not use my codecs or the thumbnailing features of Icaros.
