Hi, i seem to be having some issues with shark and my mp3 collection, i have been unable to edit any details of any of my mp3 files since installing shark, prior to installing shark all has been fine, i noticed this problem a few months back when i tried to edit some details of a file, no matter what file i tried i could not edit any details, i thought there may be other issues with my machine so i reformatted it, everything was then fine, i could edit the mp3s.
I installed shark and after installing it i could no longer edit any mp3 files again, to double check i put my drive onto my other machine that does not have shark on it and everything was fine, so i uninstalled shark in the hope everything would go back to normal, what happened next baffled me, all i could see on the mp3s was the track name, no title, no contributing artist, nothing except what was written as the file name, i again put the drive onto my other machine and everything was fine, so i installed shark again and the details reappeared but i still could not edit anything, i did read a few posts after an extensive search that icaros may be the problem as some people have removed icaros and all was well again.
I've no idea how to remove icaros as there is not an uninstall for that part of the program, i was just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue, i know i can use other programs to edit the data mp3 tag etc but if i need to do just a quick edit on one file i found it easier to right click the file, click details and edit it there, as said, i'm now no longer able to do that, i can't but help that there is something in shark that is causing the problem because it does not occur until i install shark, is there a way round this or do i have to format again and go for some other codec files?
thanks
