Windows Media Center Timeshifting/Rewind breaks

So i installed just the 32bit version which i could see did include the 64 bit drivers but ended up in exactly the same position - TV crash when using the rewind key.  I updated the graphics card but it didn't help, so am back to where i was at the beginning with a working environment which can't play newer video files encoded in h.265 and subtitles which won't appear on these newer formats.
Not really sure where to go now, other than identify what files and registry keys are replaced during the update and slowly work through them applying them individually to see what fixes what and what breaks what.  Do you have any suggestions on what i could do?
Thanks

No files are replaced and no registry keys are over written by installing my software or using the Settings Application.

You ask for suggestions and this is what I have for you.
Install my software. Make NO changes.
Install the player, MPC-BE from my tools page.

Use Media Center for LiveTV, and use MPC-BE for everything else.

Using these suggestions require no settings changes - at all.

Unfortunately this is what i've done otherwise there wouldn't be this thread. I installed your software and made no changes, and this affects the rewinding capability of the live TV function within Media Centre.

From my troubleshooting so far, I have identified the following 3 file changes:
C:\Program Files\Shark007\filters\LAVSplitter.ax
C:\Program Files\Shark007\MPC-BE64\madVR\madVR64.ax
C:\Program Files\Shark007\MPC-BE64\MpcVideoRenderer64.ax

You say no files are replaced, does this mean only files are added, and if so, how are they then used? If i could understand this i could start to identify what's changing and causing the issue i am seeing.

Just trying to get to the bottom of the issue and appreciate your help.
Thanks

It is possible that these 2 files are an issue
C:\Program Files\Shark007\MPC-BE64\madVR\madVR64.ax
C:\Program Files\Shark007\MPC-BE64\MpcVideoRenderer64.ax
but they only come with the standalone 64bit installer which is NOT intended for Media Center users.
This why I previously told you to stop using that installer and stay with the single installer.

The SUGGESTED settings are intended for WMP users and can assist Media Center to playback files such as FLV.
It should not affect LiveTV users that I know of.

This was an observation i made when i was using the 64 bit installer, but unfortunately the 32 bit installer has the same side effects with the rewinding of live tv.  I have now installed the package in a separate layer allowing me to view all changes made to the file system and registry during installation. Currently nothing.  I can only think that an additional registry entry is causing media centre to use a different codec for live tv or prioritise one over the other.

In the 64bit Settings Application, you could try disabling the LAV Splitter on the Config TAB to see if it is affecting LiveTV rewind.
I no longer own the hardware for LiveTV so I cannot test this myself.

I've made huge changes to the [x] SUGGESTED settings checkbox.

If you're trying out this release, v1029 when it becomes available,
I suggest that you 1st delete any saved settings you have using the checkbox provided on the Misc tab.
Then uninstall the software using the button provided on the Help tab.

With a clean install of version 1029, immediately test Media Center LiveTV rewind. (hoping it works)
Also test disabling the LAV splitter on the config tab to see if that helps with rewind.

With LAV splitter enabled, check the box, [x] WMP suggested settings.
I'm hoping most files (mkv, mp4 etc) will  play properly in Media Center with no other settings required.
I could only test in WMP but Media Center does use the same settings.

You mean there is no need to install the 32 bit codecs?

I've recently designed  portable versions of my releases without an installer.

Uninstall any previously installed codecs
Give THIS release a try. Extract it somewhere on your system where it can reside permanently.
The included ReadMe file has a bit more information for you.
Doubleclick on the Launcher.exe file. It sets itself up. Check the box [x] WMP suggested settings.

Now open Media Center and test.
