Windows audio and video playback help

All I'm getting are the white blank piece of paper icons.
Is it because there is no Icaros in the portable installation?
I tried changing default player to VLC and back, but still white icons.
Any ideas?

If you set Windows Explorer to show Icons and not thumbnails
you also need to set the file extension, for example .mkv to always open with WMP to see the icons.
