1. In the "THUMBNAILING" section, enable the "Prefer Timestamp" option.
2. In the "CACHE" section, go to the "LOCATIONS" tab and add the folder with the video. Go back to the "SETTINGS" tab and click "Build Cache".
3. Activate thumbnails and cache.
As a result, the cache will be created based on the "Thumbnail Offset" option, not the "Prefer Timestamp"option.

You're absolutely correct! This is definitely a bug.
It will be fixed in the next release.
