10bit video just plays differently in WMP

Hello. I've been a long-time user of Shark Codecs. I appreciate the work behind this. I always ever only used this Codec Pack with Windows Media Player. But off-late in Windows 11, I notice the 10-bit videos aren't played with good colors. Below is the screenshot of a scene from in VLC and WMP side by side. As you can see VLC has better color. VLC is on par with the Movies & TV player in Windows 11.

Can someone tell me if I have configured the codec settings wrong or something? I'm happy to provide any additional information.

The difference you're seeing is produced by the renderer.
Although 3rd party decoders and splitters can be utilized in WMP, the renderer cannot be changed.

I suggest trying (using) the MPC-BE player which I personally compile, configure and re-distribute.
The linked version is kept up to date.
