I was getting tired of seeing the MGM lion as the thumbnail for most of my movies
. Icaros fixed it so I now can chose cover art or a screen shoot from the movie to use as the thumbnail in Windows!
However I do have a problem when I use my pc as a ”media server” for other units (android phone Samsung TV , android TV box , android TV etc. ) the thumbnail always seems to be from 25% in the movie and never show the embedded cover art.
Some things I tried to solve it:
Change the time to 30 % in Icaros and or change the thumbnail works great in Windows, but no change on android devices! tried to clear the thumbnail db in all way I could find, but ther was still a data base that containd the thumbnail from 25% I saw it once but couldn’t figure out its location (the one that android devises showed) So got desperate and did a clean install of windows 10 yes CLEAN lol (diskpart clean all) now the 25% thumbnail cash most be gone.
Or So I thought, but after the reinstalling windows 10 and before I tried to stream any movies I set Icaros to 30% and double checked the all the movies had the cover art in place with mp3tag before activate Icaros. All worked perfect in Windows like before, but still there seems to be cash somewhere in windows that is built up using Icaros thumbnail from 25 % and not from 30 % that I chose and no cover art on Android devises!! If I deactivate Icaros, and clear thumbs I have some files that don’t show any thumbs (Ripped from DVD) both in Windows and Android devises. But when I activate Icaros it works in Windows, but once again show the thumb nails from 25% on Android devises
Since I once saw the thumbnail from 25% when I had chosen 30 % (yes I wish I could remember how I did it ) in windows I am convinced that windows use the default settings for Icaros to create a thumbnail db for the movies to be stream.
I have uninstalled vlc cleared cash on Android devises etc etc etc etc.
Any suggestions how to fix it would be appreciated
